Standard Collection @ €585
Most (nearly all) red vintages in our collections will be 2020 or earlier
In the standard excellent collection (6-8 bottles with the greatest chocolates in the world**) wine vintages typically range from 2015 - 2020 - these wines are becoming harder and harder to obtain hence the price and rest assured wine is meticulously curated from years of research. These are not wines you're drinking everyday. This is a great gift for a friend or colleague who is serious about or otherwise loves the art of wine.
Refined collection @ €1085.00
(Minimum 8 wines of absolute excellence)
In the refined excellence collection it can be wines from any vintage but typically vintages that were rated as excellent and vintages that are in perfect drinking range. These wines are painfully curated by Polina and either of classic beauty and elegance like left bank classics or wines from estates that carving out a name for themselves in terms of overall excellence.
We are confident both collections offer you, the discerning or up and coming wine buff, a glimpse into the world of extraordinary wines that have taken us over two decades to research and grasp.
If you would like to direct the hamper selection further based on your tastes please let us know.
Reasoning for vintage selection:
Our take: Although it's often claimed that the majority of wines are meant to be consumed within 2-4 years - this is only really a good indication of wines of a certain quality - typically bulk or mass produced wines (these are not wines that ever feature in our collections) or wines with an understood production method that is not favorable for ageing.
In our opinion the majority of French reds (or reds generally) shouldn't be approached younger than 5 years. *Obviously however, there are many caveats here - and of course many wines can be approached and enjoyed earlier than this so we offer this as a general guideline only.
